 In the early of 2013, OVM won the bid of FAST Project of the National Astronomical Observatories in China, the largest & most advanced radio telescope in the world. OVM should supply 8,895 strand cables to form the cable network of reflector panels, and undertake the installation of cables.

   In 2012, OVM250 stay cable system, with 139 nos of steel strands, passed 2 million fatigue cycles with 45% upper stress and 250MPa stress range in CTL America, which is the first and largest fatigue test for stay cable system using strands worldwide. In the same year, OVM high stress range stay cable system with 500MPa passed 2 million fatigue cycles, setting the new record in China. 

   In 2011, the cable-supported crane and beam transporter invented by OVM, successfully worked for the construction of Hunan Aizhai Bridge in China.

   In 2008, OVM became the first domestic provider of nuclear power presstressing tendon anchor, which broke the monopolization of foreign providers in China and realized localization of nuclear power anchorage. So this was a big step for nuclear power industry and prestress industry development, having the milestone significance for China. 

   In 2005, GJ strand cable system with integral swaging anchorage, the first technologies of strand cable anchorage with integral swaging and anticorrosion and isolation, was developed and applied successfully to “Jiangxi Ehu Bridge” for the first time.
       
   In 2001, OVM cooperated with Tongji University to establish Tongji-OVM Pre-stressing Research Center.  After that, OVM Post-Doctoral Research Center was set up. OVM has been keeping a leading position in field of Chinese prestressing technology.

   In 1996, OVM technology center was entitled as National Enterprise Technology Center by Chinese National Development and Reform Commission and the other three government ministries , becoming the only one technology center who got this award in Chinese prestressing industry at that time.
